Fred,

You need to contact Indy Dirt Farmer (IDF). He hasn't been on this board for quite a while, but maybe he still lurks. A few years ago he had cornered the garlic market. I seem to remember his telling us that he had planted some thousands of crowns one year.

Or maybe not.

Tom in TN

Shouldn't be a problem judging by the number of growers from central NY that show up at the annual garlic festival in Saugerties NY every September.

Tom--was that the same year he unloaded and stacked 5000 bales of straw---all in one afternoon after building 20 tiki bars at the golf course................

Yeah, Baby!!

IDF haven't heard that name in years. He really got some of these guys upset. Then his "exit" was weird. I didnT believe he was a BA until I noticed that he had lifted pics from another site, claimed them as his own.

A semi-retired friend of mine is looking into growing garlic and he tells me about 90% is imported but if you have a good crop it'll bring $10 a pound locally. I know nothing about growing garlic.
