Schlagel Closing Wheels

Nephew just bought a JD 7200 planter with Schagel closing wheels.Here is the question the last owner didn't have seed firmers on it he said with these wheels it didn't need them.Everyone including myself say it wouldn't hurt to put then on any thoughts on these closing wheels.

I think the seed firmers, help control
seed bounce. We have yetter spike closing
wheels plus drag chains and firmers.

Personal opinion I would not run a planter without
seed firmers. They are the cheapest accessory you
can add to a planter and offer probably the biggest
return. We run liquid fertilizer through ours
