How does the twine holder hold the twine? does it rotate slightly to pinch the twine?

Sorta kinda.When the disc rotates it tucks it in the corner. So ya it pinches it.

Kinda like if you hold the twine between your thumb and index finger, then over your middle finger, then under your ring finger. The discs pull it in and there are twine holders between them that you can't see unless you flip the whole knotter over.
