Looking to take over a current alfalfa field. The field will have been harvested for three years (12 cuttings).
Question is how well would Frost Seeding Timothy to bring the hay to a Horse type quality work?
With the alfalfa slowing down and adding the Timothy to balance it out will it work?
I'm in upstate New York the field is a strong clay base type soil.
60/40 Timothy/Alfalfa mix seems to work for local horse people around here.
