FREEMAN front end loader

Have a loader that was on a CASE DC. Removed it for repainting and restoration of the tractor.
Is there any demand for a loader of this sort. Was used as manure loader, has long tines.
Heavy, in good shape. Cylinders with new seals. Or should I scrap it out for the scrap iron value?
I don't ever intend to put it back on.

I've got a Horndraulic just like it on a Farmall M. I'm going to reuse the pipe for other projects. About the time I think it has to go, there's some little project in the yard that I use it for. I've got three other loader tractors/skid steer, but they are all big heavies. She sure does tiptoe into tight spaces. This winter it is going, though.

So to answer your question, I'd keep the cylinders and scrap it. Advertise the cylinders, post on here for someone with a project, or keep them yourself. Retract all of the way and put them in the corner of the shed. Unhook the scoop and put it at the end of the drive - it would look good with pots of flowers in the spring.

Advertise it, sure some one some ware would like it if it is usuable and should fit many a model tractor.

My thought is advertise it and hope to sell it. Scrap is way down in value and likely will not even cover your gas to haul it there.

As was said scrap iron is way down.Probably wont cover the gas.IMHO,it's a 'crime' to scrap an otherwise good piece of equipment just because you simply dont want it anymore. Advertize, even for 25 or 50 dollars you are ahead.Someone will be darn glad to get it.Is this a modern type,or a 'pipe' loader? If you have room,Just park it out back on blocks .Sometime in the future, you(or some else) will need it,or parts from it.

Thanks guys for the reply.
I thot too that scrap is not the answer. Price is low.
This is not a pipe one. Has wide heavy sides to it.
Sullivan Auctioneers is near in this part of Illinois. I might try that.

Awkward to move. Thanks anyway...
If I were to advertise, any idea what to ask?

I had a Freeman that was pretty worn out,had a lot of welds. It had a hydraulic bucket though. I'd had it on a Ferguson 30 and a 1020 Deere. I put that one on CL for $400 and sold it in a few days. I'd put at least $150 on it to start.

Really not hard to move. Just lift onto trailer with another loader. If no loader available, chain the front to back.Hook a comealong and pullit right onto your trailer.Use planks for ramp. And have a bar handy to help from time to time.
