hey there case nutty love your pics i'm looking for one they seem rare do you know where one is

How do you get the pics to show? I tried both views - are you talking about a John Deere Disk Tiller? If so I just bought one last week, in MN. I'd like to see the others.

badger08 i will try to take some pics of my surflix tiller to let you know what mine looks like how much did you have to pay for yours I bought mine for 35dollars an has 4 gangs of 7 discs per gang its ready for work ill see if i can get pics to come up on here what you going to use yours for

Here's a parts catalog photo.

Thanks tx jim looking at your diagrams the hitch is longer on mine i'm thinking it is a add on an dont think it needs to be that long do you advise shorting the hitch to your diagram

Mine looks different, from the parts catalog mine is called a Disk Tiller.

Friend called and asked if I wanted to go look at an auction the night before the auction, it was a Friday and I was off work early so said sure. Then seen this thing and went and bought it next morning in the rain! Has all the wheel weights, scrapers, nothing that I can see is bent or needs fixing, and best of all it's hydraulic so that's a plus. Got the manuals for it off ebay this week.

For now it's on the projects list haha, but next spring I'll check it over, grease it up, hitch it up and give it a trial run. Eventually use it for play, as I do my other plows.

I'm trying to figure out what size tractor is supposed to pull it. It's a 260 model, 269 as far as I know, 24 inch disks with the most concave they offered in that model.

Will add some pics.

Badger08 great pics just curious how much did you pay for it wondering if it was close to mine for 35 dollars mine is much
bigger hopefully pics coming soon

Sorry forgot that part, took $550 to get it! I figured I had best go to auction as if I didn't it'd go for less. $550 was about my max but I decided either way it was going home with me.

badger08 thats a lot in my opinion but worth it an not to let go to a scraper so far here in nebraska one way go for no more than
60 dollars lot go to iron pile an i dont like it

Had a John Deere unit size looked to be like the one in the picture and pulled it with a JD AR tractor, 39 HP.

Bteny, to me it wasn't to much, I guess I thought I did well. Figure if I wanted one I'd have to go south or out west to get one. Lucky to find one withing 30 miles of home, plus it's all there, not one casting or bolt broke. As I didn't want to be chasing parts.

The ones you seem to be after are new models, this one would be mid/late 50's to me at the latest. It's called a Disk Tiller, parts manual #255. I love it's hydraulic so no clutch to worry about.

badger08 ya its cheap compared to coming out hear an you got a good one mine is also ready to go nothing missing ya them clutches
need work you really got a good deal i'm looking for one like that but most likely not find one later on fire badger08 have fun

thanks tx jim ya thats what i got a 28 disc an a 4020 with a blower on it so it will be just enough say jim with you putting
together as many as you did i would buy one down their an bring it back 2200 or 2400 model how much do you think i would have to
give hope they all didn't go to the scrap yard

I don't get out N about as much as I once did but I's been a long time since I've seen a square beam surflex. Why do you only want the models with 10'' & not 8'' disk spacing? You could inquire about one at Kaddatz equip but if he has one it won't be cheap. Phone # 254-582-3000. I think I saw a surflex on his lot the last time I was there.

What you describe from divorce sounds more like an F810 than a surflex as F810 could have a rear rubber tire with a colter wheel.. I live in Coyote Flats,Tx which is the newest town in Tx 30 miles south of Cowtown.

IIRC dealer I worked for sold more 8'' spacings than 10''. 8'' left ground smoother after plowing. Temp in Coyote Flats has been in the high 40's to 60's at night & 70's during the daytime. I wish you & everyone else a Happy Thanksgiving

I've never seen a frt furrow wheel axle support(parts key 13A) similar to you Surflex. BTW your plow is a model 1100. According to parts catalog it was built 1949-1951
