New Idea spreader

I have a new idea manure spreader that has 8.25x20 tires on it. I am looking to replace them with used tires but not having any luck finding them. Will any other sizes or tires work on those rims. Any suggestions are welcomed just not wanting to spend a lot of money on new ones.

You didn't say whether it is a ground drive or pto. If it is a small ground drive it should have 7.50 tires, they are almost impossible to find. However newer trucks and cars are equipped with 20 inch tires, they will fit but slightly lower profile

Sorry it is PTO driven, also tire dealers around here say there is no other replacements and I would have problems finding 8.25 x 20 tires.

Just use an old truck tire. DOT has truckers pulling some really nice rubber off their trucks, and they last a long time on a spreader......

9.00x20 should be more available than 8.25, and should still fit on the rim. otherwise, 20" wheels off most any corn picker, spreader, anything with the same # of bolt holes will interchange.

Cuttman, where are you located? I have some 8.25 x 20 tires off of my C60 chev truck that I saved for my spreader but I sure am not going to use them all.
