I have a little around the farm helper: Honda recon 4 wheeler 250 cc
it has the auto shift, currently its locked in 1st gear, will not shift back to neutral.
it runs good, but at this point I cannot get it back to neutral, so it can be started.
I normally back it into the shed, so I can start it in neutral, then shift to 1st gear drive around a bit, then it shifts to reverse fine,
but, sometimes it will not shift from neutral to reverse until its driven some.
does anyone know if I can pull start the 4 wheeler with my tractor????
I believe if I could get it started, drive it a bit, then it would shift properly with the auto shift??
maybe I would be better just taking it in and letting the "man" fix it properly,
but its old and well used like me, he may tell me to just take it out and shoot it and put it out of its misery.
sure do not want to ruin the transmission as I am sure its only a small adjustment on the shift to repair, I hope.
was running good all weekend with the kids driving it.
my son just parked it heading into the shed not backing it in as I do, he was not aware of its early morning shifting quirks as all he saw was it working properly.
thanks for any tips,
