Well, I finally got around to buying that new tedder about a month ago. I've been so busy trying to finish hay that I haven't had time to post a follow up. I ended up finding a 1 year old Tonuuti GTH500. Dealer sold it new last year and told me that the guy he sold it to ended up quitting and that the tedder hadn't been over 30 acres of hay. I bought it over the phone, figuring that even he was wrong about the number acres it had been ove, that it still looked new in the pictures. They delivered it for $3450, and then gave me $600 for my old Walton 2 basket that was literally flying apart. And I honestly don't think the dealer was wrong about the 30 acres, its the same as new. Now it is a light duty tedder, but for the money, I couldn't beat it. If I can get 10 or 15 years service out of it, then get half my money back on it, I'll be more than satisfied. It's not as nice as the Kuhn's, but I think it'll fit my operation just fine. Heck, at this point, I can sell it for a profit in the spring, based on local used tedder prices. I've ran it over about 25 acres so far and it seems to do a good job.
