I found a 3x14 P @ O Plow with cast iron, spoke wheels, just never seen them before, i wonder when they quite making them ??

This plow has 5 flat spokes for the front 2 wheels and a skinny rubber tire, what the hub looks like i didnt make a mental note, But the spokes are about 2 1/2 in wide by 3/4 in thick, as i recall !!

Can you post a picture of it? Would be interesting to see. Dad had a 3 14 P & O plow (all steel wheels) and I plowed many an acre with it. Excellent plow by the way.

Scroll down in this thread; there is a picture of a #8 Little Genius on rubber wheels with the cast centers:

Is that what you're seeing? I don't have a parts book in front of me, but I believe IH offered this style of wheel on the #8 in 1938-1939 before going to the pressed steel rim that you more commonly see.

I was wrong. I looked in the parts book this morning: The cast centers were used 1939-1940. The pressed steel rims were introduced in 1941. I've seen John Deere plows with wheels like that also. I suppose when rubber tires were first used someone thought that was a good idea until other ideas came along.

They didn't have shares for them 20yrs ago. Ive got one, 2 14, and I couldn't get new shares for it back then.
