Hello. I have been told this machine can be transported by loading it on a gooseneck trailer then releasing the tongue and rotating the tongue back over the machine. I have a shop manual which instructs in section F1 to ..."remove retaining ring (8)and washer (7)...lift tongue straight up....
Does anyone know how to remove the retaining ring? It appears to be under a cap, but maybe what we are seeing on top is the retaining ring.
How would the unit be lifted onto a trailer?
thanks in advance for any help

Best way is to use two loaders. One on each end.Dont remamber if it takes a snap ring pliar,or it's a spiral that yuo work off
with a couple screw drivers. Clean all the grease off. You should then see. However,I think I would remove all the hoses and
completely lift the tougne off and lay it on the deck. How far are you hauling? they acctually tow pretty easy.Good tires, greasse
bearings. Secure tounge with a chain to hold it solid and go......

Load it on the trailer then take the pin out of the hydraulic cylinder and swing the tongue onto the trailer

Thanks to all for your help. The snap ring is a spiral. although we struggled, we were able to lift the tongue up while the unit was full of oil and rotated it over the stops.
We were able to find a loading dock to back it onto the trailer before we started to loosen and rotate the tongue.

Yes I get the dummy of the year award I went and looked at mine and realized there are stops sorry for the Mis information
