Just got this NH 273, it was used this year and had bales in it with good looking knots . The brass rollers on the wiper are have some flat spots on them. Does anyone know how this will affect the tieing. Can the brass be replaced or does the whole wiper arm have to be replaced. Thanks

Yes the brass roller will affect tying and they can be replaced. Earlier model wiper arms had the ends where the roller was bradded over and later models had a button head screw that you removed to change the rollers. If you have the earlier style which I don't think you will unless the have been swapped with an earlier set, you can grind the bradded part off and remove the roller and then drill and tap for a button head screw and washer or what I did was I got a hardened washer and welded the center of the washer to the knotter arm. It has worked fine for a few years now that way. Whichever way you choose make sure the outer diameter of the washer is smaller than the brass roller.

The rollers are part number 146.
