Costly Tiny Part

Twine knife blade for IHC baler. looks to be about 3/8 x 3/4 x .020 stainless steel sharp on one side. $8.91 each. Cheap though if it helps the baler . Smallest pert I ever bought and most costly for the size

If you think that is high price a left hand nut for a A-16 IH sickle mower. Nut cost $64

Gosh, I figured this might be one time the GREEN stuff was cheaper, so I looked... $16 or $22, depending upon which style!

You got a DEAL!

Twine knives for our Massey #12 were around $45 for the pair, and they were made wrong. In my attempts to get the right bend on them I snapped them both. Sharpened the old ones and put them back on....

Sad part is that those blades used to be around .50 for a pair back when it was still IH not CIH or CNH. I hadn't bought any for quite awhile, just a little sticker shock when I went to get a fresh pair earlier this year.

That's why I have at least 2 of everything 1 i use and one for parts. Also have 2 sheds full of new and used parts most of those came from auctions seen a box of junk with some junk that I knew what it fit. Thankfully don't need most of it but when I do I'm glad I have it. Wife hated it at first now she appreciates the fact when something breaks in most cases the parts are only a 40 away versus hours days plus the cost saving. Only two down falls is my heifer pasture has more tractors and machinery than pasture, though they do an awesome job keeping it neat and well trimmed and the neighbors are starting to think we run a parts and hardware store. Heck we keep it in neat rows and we every so often people will ask if we're having a sale lol!
