Anyone Using an IH 27-V Mower on a Farmall C or Super C?

I haven't had much luck finding the correct mower for the tractor. I have a chance to buy a 27-V, but I will have to make some sort of mounting bracket to attach it to the drawbar. Any one have photos of a bracket that they could post? How well does it work? I assume the lift rod also had to be modified? Is this even worth doing?

I think the 27 V was similar to the JD#5. Yes it will work. Friend has a JD5 on a SC farmall.Dont quite remember the mounting system.Used a cable/pulley system from the rockshaft to lift. Worked well for years. Cut a lot of 'mountain grass' with it.Yes,it's worth doing.

I took a look at the photo that was at the link you gave me. Thanks. Is the main difference in the 25-V and the 27-V is the 25-V is hand lift and the 27-V is hydraulic lift?

We had a 27V from new in about 48 on a Super A. I don't know about 25V.
27V could used behind many different tractors. Just had to figure out how
lift the cutting bar.
