Seed Drill Update

Finished drilling my hayfields yesterday. Split the seed rate between two perpendicular directions to crisscross the fields and not leave any unintended/unplanted streaks. No-tilled after killing off everything with round-up; put down lime and fertilized too. Planted Clair in one field and Climax in the other. Biggest problem was seeing the slit in the ground as I approached for the next pass with the sun glaring down. JD5055d did a fine job puling the drill everywhere, up and down hills too. Drill was a Tye Pasture Pleasure 2007 and is a 6.5ft (maybe 7ft) planter.

Glad it worked out for you those Tye drills do an excellent job,and its a whole lot better to thicken up hay stands than tearing up the ground and reseeding in my opinion.
