Did you tighten the shaft tight enough so the disk blades will "ring" if you tap them with a hammer? (Disk raised with blades out of the soil). The shaft isn't tight enough if the blades just go "thunk" when tapped with a hammer.
 
Oh, and don't forget to paint the axle cream-colored or it will never look like a real Krause!
 
I happened to have a gallon of Rustoleum Safety Red, and it looked close enough. I found a Cream aerosol spray at home Depot. Krause factory contact advises that should be "forsythia cream" which seems to be yellow-er than what I used
 
Type in Krause on Yahoo and click on images. You'll be able to see the color scheme. The axle across the center of the disk from wheel to wheel is painted cream color. The axle and rims are all that is cream colored.
