Knotter Knife

On the neighbors NH small square baler the Knotter Knife will not cut the twine maybe once every 20 bales. Otherwise it works good. Therefore, the twine is not cut from the knot and tracks along the string for the next bale. What should be checked or adjusted to solve this? Paul

Is the knife within the specified clearance to cut the twine? If it has too much clearance it won't cut the twine. Maybe the knife needs to be sharpened with a small whetstone? Read the manual for different solutions to that problem.

A dull area of the knife will cause that or a burr on the knife. Every time I use my NH271 I sharpen the knifes on it or it will cause the same type of problem

$15 will buy a replacement knife kit that includes hardware.
