New Holland 273 Baler

I have a 273 New Holland baler that I am having trouble with. I have used it for two seasons, including completing 1800 bales already this year. HOWEVER – I have a problem now and we cannot figure it out. We cannot find anything broken or missing. The knotter gets tripped – needles go forward – both knots complete fine – the needles come back and lock – THEN THE PROBLEM IS – they drop forward immediately after. THEN, by needle latch pops out – and my shear pin breaks so that I don’t break my needles. Why are my needles dropping forward after locking back? Timing is correct. Any ideas?

Here are the brake pads, disc and needle
yolk rod in this video. Does that look
normal? Should there be that much play? The
needles at this point are locked in their
home position. Timing is correct.

Took video and photos to service guy at new
holland..he wondered if the bolts attaching
the disc to the arm had broke...took it
apart there...and he was right! So although
it was loose at the disc and brake pads..it
was actually these other broken bolts that
are the problem. Pads are good. Will put
back together tonight and get er done.
Thanks!
