Prince Joystick Control Valve

I have a bucket loader on my NH 1725. I believe the brand is Prince. It won't lift. At first I thought in might be the linkage in the joystick as the tractor is 20 years old, but it appears to more related to the valve itself, not the joystick. The bucket "rolls" normally and the "down" control works fine. It's as if the shaft won't go in to activate the lift. New to hydraulics, sorry about the terminology.

There is the chance that if the bucket
moves normally, that the cable end has come
off the cable for lift lower control...
I've had that happen to me once. If it is
the problem then it is the cable end on the
other end from the joystick. Usually two
Allen head screws that hold a cover on,
will probably need to unscrew the adjuster
nut of the end of the cable too.

Where does the cable originate? I don't remember seeing any cables as part of the whole joystick-block assembly. It appears to be a "LVR 2 spool mono block valve" if that helps.

Probably something fouled up in the float detent assembly.found on the
opposite end of the lift spool from the joystick connection.

That sure is what it feels like. I'll get it off there tonight and let you know what I find. Thanks.

Exactly what it was, all junked-gunked up. Thanks for the heads up, appreciate it.

Okay got it all cleaned up and ready to go. I want to change the hydraulic fluid-filters completely on the tractor. Any "tips" or "beware" before I get going? Thanks.
