I am looking at a larger Gehl 4635 SXT skid loader on a dealer lot. From the info I found on Google, looks like it has the Duetz engine with turbo on it. I don't know the exact year or hours on machine. Just happened to find it last night on the net. Can anyone tell the pro's/cons about this machine please? I currently have a Gehl 3610 with Isuzu diesel. I really like it, just would like something with larger lift capacity and an enclosed heated cab. Thank you.

I had a Gehl 4625 for over 10 years, with the Kubota 46 hp engine, traded for a Gehl 5240e with the Deutz water-cooled. Stayed away from the 35 series because of the oil cooled Deutz. Current Deutz is GUTLESS! Stalls out at the littlest load. Kubota would lug way beyond current Deutz. Almost never stalled out.

Oil cooled Deutz will start harder in winter. OK for livestock farmers that use it every day, but they told me they plug it in when parked at the end of the day. I asked what about occasional use...say for snow removal. Said plug it in the day before. Current Deutz usually starts with manifold heater, but I prefer to plug it in a couple hours before needed.
