I sold some small squares out of my field today. Buyer saw my hayrack and asked if it was for sale . I said yes but let me find you a price.
It is a JD running gear on the 6 bolt 15 inch rims. All new 9x15 implement tires 3 years ago. rims sandblasted and painted. All new deck and under carriage. 4x8 laminated beams, 2x6 crossways planks. Frame blasted and epoxy JD Green paint. Cool looking baby moon chrome hubcaps.
I haven't seen many racks sell at auction and it's hard to find online. What are we talking here for a affair price to a customer? $900? Tires 320, running gear 300, frame resto 200, deck 300.
Was built as a county fair people mover but never built the benches and side rails.

Yes $1000. One note, the laminated beams will not handle rain, has to be kept dry = inside.
As I know from experience, any old cheap wagon gear will quickly eat up $800 to $1000 in a new flat and good tires.

Cheapest JD running gears here are $450 and that is with junk tires that will be replaced with steel wheels at cost of $80 each and that is what a dealer will pay for them so add his markup to that and what do you get, Around $900+ for gear without bed.
