Need someone reputable in rebuilding engines or a take out

I'm searching for someone that knows how to rebuild engines... it's not exactly a tractor that I have, but close.
It's a CAT Skid Steer with a Perkins 3024C engine.
It is in good condition except for the engine has been dusted. To buy a new engine is extremely expensive.
Or does anyone know where I can find a "take out" engine in good condition for this 226B the year 2006 CAT Skid Steer with Perkins 3024C engine?

Well to find some one it would be a good idea to tell them what area you in. Like say your in Mississippi a guy in Missouri is not likely to be able to help you

: ) OOps It would be in the eastern Montana area, by Sydney or Williston ND

Hmmm, well if anyone out there knows anyone near that whole area, like all of eastern Montana and Western ND that could help me, I would be glad, or even further.
If I could find a "take out" engine that is good that would be awesome.

The 3024C is a Cat engine. Perkins is owned by Caterpillar, and sells the Perkins version of this engine as the 404D-22T. No idea how "swappable" they are in your 226B.

There's a rebuilt 3024C on eBay right now for $5,800.

Thank you so much!
Where could I find if this version is compatible with what I have?
I also was told if I found a "take out" of a machine that was no longer useable, but the engine was in good shape and they were willing to sell it, it would be considerably cheaper than buying new or even rebuilt.
So just putting out the word to find someone who can help me and be helped.

You could check the serial number to see if the prefix (first three characters) is the same. Alternately, a call to a Cat Dealer might be worth your time. That's about as far as I can take you. :p

From where I'm sitting Miss. And Mo. Look like they are right next to each other,LOL.

Yes but from one side of Mississippi can be more then 700 mile to the other side of Missouri and that is way to far to drive to rebuild an engine for some one

Very few people willing to do them is what my Cat rep says. I only know one guy that will
touch them, even our local Cat dealer wont. They will do a crate in repower. They are the
devil themselves to get out without the correct tools. Not sure where you are but if youre
close to Kentucky I left my email open. Be glad to send you his number.

IIRC, that engine is neither a Cat or a Perkins.... What it really is... is a Shibura (ISM) N844 (T if it's turbo charged). They were commonly used in the NewHolland skids. I would do a little more research on the displacement and power specs to confirm that... but visually I'd say it's an N844T.
They tend to be a fairly expensive engine to rebuild so generally you just buy the new drop in engine. I see them on E-Bay and such right now for ~$5300 plus core ($2K). I also see a major kit on there for ~700... but bear in mind that if you need a head or turbo that would be extra. Personally I would probably rebuild it if I was doing the work myself. If I was paying someone I would buy the drop in engine and have a warranty with it....

I was looking for a Shibaura 844 replacement for my NH 565 skidder. If you look hard
enough on the interwebs you can find them in a crate for around $5k. Not that much
more than a complete rebuild with machine work.

I think you will also find it has 'N844' below the injection pump, cast into the side of the block indicating to me that it's very much an ISM engine. There is no doubt some license arrangement between ISM and Perkins/Cat but the Cat skids I've looked at very much has the ISM engine. The only thing I'm not positive about is which exact variant you have...
