New Holland 469 Haybine -- Should I use 215 or 245 guards?

When I bought my 469 it had a collection of different rock guards on it (four different types) and all in fair to poor condition. I am trying to reduce knife/sickle drag, so I am going to replace them all with new guards of one type (then align as necessary).

The problem is that I am getting conflicting information about whether to use #215 or #245 guards.

Which guard is the correct one to use on a 469?

Thanks.

Messicks shows #65327 - regular guard at $16.89
Stub guards are available #86617061 at $16.59

Shoup sells #SH218 for all NH mowers at $11.49

Had good service from Messicks and Shoup.

The ones I'm using on my 479 and 488 say 215 on them.

If you're replacing them all, now would be the time to change to stub guards!

Edit: Changed a 477 to stub guards years ago! What an improvement! Night & day difference in cutting without plugging!

I don't know if the other replies do not understand the difference is that 215 guards are a little longer than the 245. Stub guards were not in your question. I am of no help I use 245 guards in my 479, I have wondered if 215 would be better but have not tried them. Sorry I am no help either
