Gehl Haybines

Do any of you have experience with Gehl Haybines.
I've got a line on a Gehl 1099 and it is in good shape.

Things to look out for?
Positives, negatives?

Thanks

All I know is after we bought our Case it had to go back to dealer for some work and while it was in shop was going to loan us a Gehl and when we got it home due to design that it raised the entire machine instead of just the header we could not lift it. I know Gehl has not been building machinery for probably 25 years now so it could be a model like we tried 35 years ago. So all I can say is check type of lift to see if your tractor could lift it. The 9 ft Case we pulled with a Farmall H with no problems except it would not lift that Gehl.

I just picked up a well used Gehl HK108 (circa 1960), and it surprised me at how well it works for as rough as it is. Use it behind a '44 Farmall H. I'd like to do some tweaking on the sickle hold-downs and guards before it next cuts, but could still make do as is.
