The left knotter billhook tongue broke off close to the billhook when just starting to bale some oat straw.
Was attempting to use 24T for first time since sharpening knives and adjusting knotters to Operator's Manual. Only
thing that I didn't check was twine holder/tension as the OM recommended waiting until having baled a couple of
bales...never made it that far. Right side ties OK from what I can tell.
Worked fine when spinning flywheel and tripping the bale measuring arm. Using 7200 twine.
Would too tight twine pressure, either from holder or feed tension, put enough pressure on billhook tongue to break?
I've parted out two other balers so have some spare billhooks, just don't want to break more if there is something
specific to check. Thanks for the help.
