Hey Tx Jm or JD Baler Experts

Can you help me on my JD 336 wire tie? I have two fingers on what I believe are on the bottom of the gripper and shear assy that each one looks exactly like a comma. In the round part of the "comma" there is a hole for a screw to hold them on. I believe what they do is both spin around and catch each wire and help with the twist or the shearing of the wire, not sure.

On the JD Parts Site, under the gripper and shear it looks like the parts would be the item #7 "blade", but that picture does not look like what I have, plus it shows a total of 4 screws and I would only have 2, one for each one. Unfortunately I don't know what the pieces are called, but there is one on the bottom of each one of the vertical shafts, with a screw going up into it from the bottom. They would each be setting just above the bale.

I need to order new ones, but between the parts guy and myself we don't know what for sure to order. Would you have any idea what I am referring to? I know the "blade" that is in the parts book is not correct and I hate to order it just to see it and tell them it is wrong. Thanks for any help - Bob

What you are needing are the twister hooks, E32458. They are shown in the parts catalog under heading "Needle lift shaft" for wire balers.

You are absolutely correct Roger. Thanks a million. I looked that parts book over for an hour trying to find that one picture..lol! Thanks again - Bob

Sorry Bob I was away from computer sq balling with my 347 wire baler. I'm glad Roger came to your rescue. Twister hooks have the same part number as when I stood behind a JD dealer parts counter in the 60's & 70's
