old IH running gear

Is anyone using old IH running gear anymore .. with the old style roll bearings. I just picked one up and in the process of rebuilding it. No plans of going too far with
it. . wondering if bearings are still available and where to find them. . or it there is an upgrade I can do. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
 
My caseih dealer got bearings from an obsolete parts place called the Depot. You need to find part numbers.
 
I have a friend that actually makes those bearings and also the race sleeve for them as well. If the axle is also worn he can possibly turn it round and make a sleeve to bring back to new sizes. If interested get back and I will get you his contact info.
 
Hello Leroy, I would be very interested in those bearings and sleeves email should be open....does he also make other size roller bearings?

Thanks, Kevin...I have 3 steel wheel wagons and 3 on rubber that are cut offs and 2 on factory rubber I may have a spare cap I would have to check the condition of the cap
 
i just drug a ih frame home to build a square bale wagon mine has rubber one hub is trashed so i pulled the axle shaft out and took it and a front spindle and hub from a 2wd 3/4 ton ih pickup to my locall machine shop and he is gunna turn a shaft to fit in the axle and turn the other to fit the pickup hub then i can run pickup rims and tires on back for now. just a thought.
