Finger Lakes Equipment 24t tucker shaft upgrade

Anyone buy the tucker shaft and finger upgrade from Nelson Horning at Finger Lakes Equipment? $250 for the whole kit. Replaces the OEM adjustment rods that wear out with a ball joint for better adjustability and reduced slop and play in the control rods.

Hmmm....I would like to see a picture of that. Seems to me you could go to McMaster Carr and order the ball joint ends for a few dollars and make a new rod of of either 5/16" or 3/8" bar stock....

I was thinking about that too. Should be easy to do with off the shelf parts. I have a machinist friend that makes me some odd and end parts on occasion for the cost of a Coke or a couple dozen eggs or a jar of honey from my bees. Wondering if a more robust pivot bearing on the shaft would help things out too.
