Finally got around to taking the right side knotter apart on my 46, and figured out why it isn't working properly some of the time. It's more a miracle that it worked at all because the twine cam was rarely where it should have been indexed due to slop.
I found a few other issues, but the biggie seems to be significant wear in the knotter casting (part# 495184R6 / 666510R92 / 668956R91, obsolete from CNH, but apparently still made in Poland). Not that the casting can't be bored and bushed, but it would be a bunch of work in the machine shop (aka: a winter time project), and I'd like to get it fully functional before then if possible.
