Here I am again. The "new" jd 2750 has been put to work and it's doing pretty well. It doesn't even know the round baler is back there. My issue is that once the bale is done, I like to put the tractor into neutral while the baler is tying so as not to ride the throw out bearing. It always grinds gears when I go to put it back in. Someone told me there is a brass "brake" pin for the transmission to stop things from turning. I can't find anything about it. Anyone have any ideas (short of doing a clutch job) on how to cure this? Thanks.

Are you putting the range lever in neutral or the gear lever in neutral? On our 2155 when i round bale I put the gear lever in neutral.

On a JD 2750 the range lever will grind until the transmission shaft stops. The GEAR selector should be synchronized. They did make a collar shift transmission but they where usually on the "price fighter" models. The synchronized transmission are more common.

It is a cab model. I have tried putting either/ or and both levers in neutral...no real difference. Thanks for the replies!
