John Deere 65 pull type combine

I am in need of the weight of a John Deere 65 combine. I don't have a manual, and would appreciate it if someone could get me that information. I need to know for hauling one. Thanks!

A regular 55 with 14 ft. platform weighs a touch over 9000 lbs according to the manual. I'm guessing yours might be in that 7000-7500 range. Neat machine you have there. Do you have a head to go with it? What area of the country are you in?

Looks like an early model; does it have the flat head engine? I think the flat head was a Hercules. Where is the rest of the unloading auger? Looks like that machine has been used a lot. The flat head machine was not very powerful, most other pull types of the same vintage could out-work the 65.

Our old MM G3 combine could pull away from the newer 65 with the JD engine. Their popularity declined fast in our area; they just couldn't handle the large windrows of straw very well that were common in the Red River Valley of ND.

Yes I have the head, and the rest of the machine. It is all there with the 6 cylinder Hercules engine. It looks a little rough buy I think it's a good idea
