Hesston 450 baler

I'm in the market for a new baler.

The old jd 24t just went out of time again somehow and snapped a needle - I'm done with it.

Looking for something a little bigger/faster/more reliable.

Can't justify big bucks at this point.

I was looking more towards new holland equipment - maybe a 311 or even a 565 if I can find one for the right price, but that's a stretch.

But now a Hesston 4500 appeared on craigslist, and we're in the right ball park for what I'd LIKE to spend. I googled it, and read a few positive comments on them.

Anybody here have experience with them? Personally, I've never even seen one before.

Would I be foolish to go out of the New Holland line for an old baler (parts-availability-wise)?

JR, baled with a 4500 for about 5 years. Was a real good baler and was able to buy parts new and used. Would imagine parts are getting harder to find as they are the same as a 620-720 Oliver. Mine was working good when I sold it and the fella was going to use it as a parts baler. Stay with a baler that you can get parts for easily.
