Anyone know where to buy sisal twine in colors other than brown or green?

I would like to color code bales from different fields and cuttings.

I used to get orange but have not seen it in years.

3 colors would give me 6 different codes.

4 colors would give me 9 different codes

i have not done this, but thoughts about spray painting both ends. Seems that should work as you would get the color swatch twice per bale.

I tried painting the ends of the balls of twine. It is very hard to see on a bale, only about an inch of color, and knotters must rub some off, plus always seems to be under the bale. Hoping to find orange twine again in sisal.
Orange and blue available but only in poly twine.

What do you suppose would happen if you filled a five gallon bucket half full of water and put food coloring in it to dye a spool of it? Food coloring isn't sticky so it wouldn't cause that spool to lock together. I think I would do that and then let it drip dry a little but throw it in the baler when it was still damp and use it. When it dries it gets a little stiff and that may make the knotters mess up.

It would swell and push out of both ends of the ball. You'd just ruin it. That was always a huge no-no with the square baler. If it had to be left in the field and rain was coming,Dad would cut the twine and take it home so it didn't get wet in the twine box on the baler.

I don't know of any older baler that will run wet twine.I don't know if it will run when it dries and I doubt it would dry in a ball.
