Hesston 5540 baler electric tie

Have trouble with Hesston 5540 electric tier starting plastic twine on bale. Twin tubes with electric actuator. Works OK with Sisal but I have to get off tractor and pull out about 6 inches of twine after ejecting each bale with plastic twine. Wearing this 75 year old out.
Any suggestions?

Back the twine tension off till it works.

A buddy of mine was having the same problem with the cheap poly twine - it seemed to have a lot of kinks in it, and would pull out of after it was cut.
He switched to the biodegradable poly twine, which seemed a lot straighter, and that solved the problem
