John Deere 8200 grain drill

I recently bought a John Deere 8200 8x14 grain drill.Itis basically like new and seems to have been in storage for a while. It has the grass seed but I want to use that for clover and the large box for Orchard grass. There is nothing in the manual or chart in box about planting orchard grass seed.Does anyone know if there is another chart some where that would help. Also the grass seed box drops seed thru tubes that will actually fall in front of the disc and I am not sure this is correct either.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

Grass seed tubes are correct. Isn"t orchard grass seed a fluffy seed? Seems like I seeded that once, and had to run it through the main box, along with oats/barley. Had to stir it every few rounds- sorts out otherwise. Not a fun experience.

Thanks for the info. I plan on running the orchard grass thru the main box but not sure what to set it on for the og seed alone.Normally plant 20 lbs per acre with clover in the small seed box.I guess I will do a trial run to get it set up correct.

If I remember correctly the setting for crested wheat grass works about the same as hulled orchardgrass. I run all my small seeds through the main box as mine doesn't have a grass box.
I pull the drop tubes out of the boot and let the seed drop, run the openers about 2" deep and pull a packer behind. Have had decent luck that way.
