New Holland 411 discbine

I need to replace a idler gear in this disc bine. I have the main gear out but having trouble with the idler. The screw in the top of the cutter bar which holds the idler in place has an allen head and of course I have rounded it out. So, I welded a nut to the screw, now the lower support turns when I turn the screw. How am I going to hold this support to get the screw out? I am thinking tack weld the support to the cutter bar?
Any help would be appreciated.

Not totally sure what the idler is, but if you need to stop the cutterbar from turning? I would jam a crow bar in either the front or last disc and the structural frame.

#36 is the idler gear I need to replace. #37 is the bottom support which is turning when I back screw #40 out which holds the gear in place. How do I hold the bottom support while backing the screw out?

If there's nothing else to grab on the lower nut... I would weld it to the bar. Just a dab on each side and see if that works. Try to not concentrate too much heat in one place... Then the bolt should lift out the top once the thing is loose... I think. I have one I have to tear down too. Haven't done it yet but I think that's how it goes...

Rod, spanner wrench is what you need. Those lower supports have two holes on the underneath side. Clean them out, put your spanner wrench in them and screw out the bolt. I finally figured it out. Was back at the dealer today, which is 20 miles away, went in the shop and thats what they guys told me. Even loaned me a wrench to git er done.
