Sickle Bar Pitman Bearing

Hi. My father is wondering what he can get to replace this pitman bearing on his mower. I've included photos of the mower, bearing, and end of the pitman arm to help identify it.

Looks to me to be an IH mower, maybe a 27V???? (I am NOT an expert om IH mowers, though!)

IF no one ID's it for sure here, post a photo IH Forum, and get it ID'ed.

Once you know what it is for sure, the CIH dealer can probably still get a bearing.

I have a HM-24 mower that uses the same bearing. Couldn't find one anywhere so I just cleaned mine up and it works for now. Read somewhere that that particular bearing costs about $100. Found a website where someone made a different plate that attaches to the pitman arm that uses a common bearing and the flanges that come with it as a cheap alternative. That's what I'm planning on doing next spring to mine. I'll see if I can find the website and post it.

Your mower appears to be a 27V., I had that bearing out of my mower a couple weeks ago. CaseIH carries them for $140 a piece, and my local bearing shop couldn't find anything with an inner sleeve that long. My advice would be to look on eBay for a used bearing or assembly, and you might want to post on the International forum and see if someone has a lead on a dismantled mower.
