ok does anyone have any experience with Older grain elevators, that could shed some light on them and what
possible values of them might be?
and maybe a few older implements , like a JD grain drill, 3 bottom plow, JD two row corn planter??

Plows are worth $100 per bottom. Don't know about planters. i've seen 2 row JD listers bring $125.00

I would think not much market for other than auger grain elevators. What type of elevator are you talking about? Single chain? Double chain? Single chain cup? A lot of them are just heavy monsters that are only worth scrap price.

I paid a dollar for a 25 foot John Deere elevator. Worth every penny when it comes time to put bales in the barn.

In eastern Indiana a few hundred for a good 40' double chain that will handle bales. But must be set up for a gas engine drive. And the bales all go into the mow.

Elevators are worth about scrap iron price; if a good one that you can set a small square bale in then could get near $1000 on the right day; but typically closer to $400 or so, some days not that much.

Plows are worth something to collectors, but are a lot out there, so..... The $100 a bottom is a nice starting place until we know more about it.

2 row planters, in good shape are in demand for food plot (deer hunter) folks, and will bring $500-1500 if it is working, has several plates with it, maybe a fertilizer attachment. If its a rusty outdoor sitting in the flower bed deal, then its worth scrap iron.....

You won't get rich; but a lot depends on condition of the items, and when you are selling it, in season or out of season. Someone who's bale elevator just wrecked itself might pay dearly for one right now in season; a corn planter no one cares about right now, will pay a lot more in February when its time to get thinking about planting soon......

OK guys thanks for the info so far
as for what they are, one chain two chain or that stuff I have NO idea, I never used them, or even seen them in use, they been sitting in a barn for the past 20+ yrs I been on this farm, I just was told I could have them and get rid of them, OR take to a different farm I am a part of and leave them there till??
SO< for now that's what I have done I moved them, as first farm is being sold due to an unexpected death of the old owner(I planned to buy) BUT now a family member is being greedy and won't sell to me, as they have issue's??
there selling if less than I offered so, go figure that out, and I was very friendly with them all my life??

SO< again, anyone have any more info, please feel free to add it, will be much appreciated,
I'd post pic's but have NO idea how to here?/

Elevator is a good 2 chain looks like bales fit in it so would sell $250-400 around here. Wait, no, the chain is hanging out the end, it has issues, junk. If its a simple fix get it fixed, if its got bad bearing worn out chain etc scrap it. It won't sell as is, anything that age with parts hanging out is just scrap iron to buyers.... That looks well enclosed, I would guess the chain and paddles are bunched up on the bottom side there and going to be a bear to fish out?

The grain drill is too old to be useful, but it sure is cute and well kept for what it is. It won't be bought for serious farming at all, but is worth a fair amount as a garden planter or to a regional seed company as a display or the like.depends if you want it gone and ask $100, or if you have time and willing to find someone who likes it cute enough to part with $500 for it.

Ah a little jump elevator, handy to get ear corn out of a crib into a real elevator or into a feed grinder.

But, not many use ear corn any more......

So handy for a few, but not a lot of demand for those any more.

I wish I had one of those around here for scooping up oats or ear corn or such; but I don't want one bad enough to part with much money.... Because it would just be a random use thing, can get by without it. Of that makes sense to you.....

Have no idea where you are at but in Amish country around me that drill could bring 4-700 at auction depending on condition. The Deere 2 row planter you did not say what model or anything about it but a good 999 planter will bring in the 500 range.

Thanks, I am NOT far from the Amish area, just north of them60 miles or so.
as for the johnDeere planter, I didn't see any model numbers on it, will have to look closer and see if I can find some?
any idea where on the planter they might be?

I also have a .3 row bottom plow with the fast hitch set up, cannot find any name on it, but its Blue in color?
there are some numbers on it above each plow, but no name I can find?

the grain drill works fine, was last used in 2006 or so, and kept in a dry barn.

also have a old model H and a 340, to sell now as well
I'm at zip 18237 too, if anyone has any interest in these things

Need pictures to tell on planter model. On the plow I think it goes with your tractor that is a McCormick 340 and is a McCormick plow to mate that tractor. McCormick did use some blue but also red on their plows and they are the only company that made the fast hitch.

2 weeks age at a sale they had 2 elevators, a single chain Case and a double chain. The double chain did not have the grain hopper-He used it for square bale- the single chain did. both brought $35.00 or less each. Both needed tires.

sold both of them today for 400, and pretty sure that was a LOW price, as I seen a Little Giant of exact model just sold for 995, and this one looks in better shape, SO< Guy that took them was very happy with my price, AFTER he paid me, he said, I should have asked for more??
I told him I didn;'t care, and I am just Glad there getting a good home
SO a win win to me, he's happy and I'm happy as well, all good!
NOW to sell the rest of the things LOL

yes it is, I also have a fast hitch Sickle mower, and a 2 row JD corn planter and a draw bar
and a IH 340 tractor set uo to run them all on, and looking to sell all of it as a packaged deal
as I don't need it no more
