new holland balers

what is the difference between the 268, 269, 270 balers which one is the larger capacity? I have a 268 wire and it works great just seems slow at times. I use a FARMALL 350 and in a heavy windrow it will make the gouvener work. but it does make a nice bale

Capacity wise I don't know, but I doubt that you'd notice much difference. Now what I've read and seen there is difference in the feed finger drive (maybe called stuffer forks), drive train, some are chain driven and some are connected with a mechanical arm from the plunger drive. Some are PTO driven from the tractor, some are auxillary engine driven, some are twine, some are wire. What are your desires? I personally dumped the offset style for a inline and haven't regretted it. bjr
