Hi,
Trying to solve twine issue here & the book don't give any troubleshooting helps. How do you keep the twine from snapping back into the tube when it cuts off?

Been fifteen years since I ran one, but if I remember right, you have too much tension on the twine. Back the tension plates off a little at a time until it quits.

Mine does this when the knife is too dull...it pulls the twine instead of a clean cut and it springs back into the tube.

Sharpen or replace knife. When it is dull it drags the twine across the knife until the combination of it and the drags break the twine which by now is stretched out. When it breaks it rebounds up into the twine tube. Sold the G's when new will help when I can.

Thanks...No problems now sense I sharpened the knife. I greatly reduced the tension too. Works good now
