435 net wrap issue...tx jim need your help

I just bought a jd 435 from a friend that's in excellent condition, he gave me the manual and all. my issue is I can bale up a bale and the twine are will cycle and then come back but it wont engage the net wrap like it should.. some times it will bale up and cycle an wrap perfect then other times it will cycle and beep and theres no wrap so I have to manually trip the cycle arm. when it goes to cycle should I slowly keep moving to keep a little hay going to catch the wrap? i have powdered the net rollers and when they kick on it wraps perfect and clean

OK it's been a long time since I had a 435 with netwrap. Powdering of rubber roll is only required to help keep wrap from sticking to rubber netwrap roll due to dampness. Hay should NOT be fed after buzzer comes on or you could get hay between netwraps. I would suggest to check clearance between lower netwrap guide bolted to tailgate & belts. Be sure the lower tips of channels(parts key 1) are correct distance from belts. I forget the dimensions but they should be outlined in OM. Is pump drive belt in good condition?? Is netwrap belt in good condition? Have you greased grease zerks under netwrap door???

Maybe some one else will help out. I'll keep thinking about your balers problem.

everything is correct in clearance pump drive works perfect but i did accidently over fill it, will that hurt it? the belt seems a lil loose to me but when it does engage the net it works perfect. yes i greased all the zerks behind the net door. kinda lost why it sometimes it wraps perfect and sometimes it doesn't trip at all. if i was running all twine it dang sure wouldn't miss a beat lol, twine arms work perfect i washed it all off today and am gonna recheck clearance and the belts

Is netwrap drive belt in good condition and has correct tension when engaged???????????????????????????

My next guess would be possibly the cylinder in photo without a parts key # leaking internally. I can't locate that cylinder in parts that shows a breakdown or remember it's function although I'm beginning to think it operates net knife.
