How does one grease that one ujoint thats a stinker on a 492

what the easiest way to grease that one ujoint thats under the head height adjustment spring?

It seems the best way to is reach all the way upfront from the back but you never get a straight on shot at the grease fitting no matter what way you turn the shafts

it seems impossible to get it from underneath also

I am sure you guys know exactly the one i am talking about that take 4 times longer then greasing the others on the machine..

I bet the 489 is the same way

If you are talking about a NH swather/haybine or whatever you call a device with a paddle and sickle bar in the front and compression
rollers in the back that has an enclosed drive shaft and you are talking about the zerk at the implement end of the drive shaft, get your
torch out and cut a hole in the !@#$%^&*()_+ side of the !@#$%^&*()_ thing. Then you will have no more problems.

Agree...theoretically, the bolt you see when the door is lifted, just in front of the U joint is removable and allows access to the fitting...but even a slight movement of the hitch or the machine makes it almost impossible to get that bolt re-aligned and back in.
