flail mower

i just purchased a 6' flail mower believe it to be a ford, the belt tension bracket that keeps tension on the belt, this bracket is maybe 3/8 inch in diameter threaded on one end and bent at a 90 degree angle at other end, comes with spring to aid in tension, what part number would this be?
thanks dave

There should be a. Serial plate somewhere on it, or at least some model numbers. Often in a out of the way place on the frame.

If it is ford you can search the online parts diagrams and see if it is still available.

If you have broken pieces you can go to a welding shop and get it put back together.

I don't know if Ford changed the design later, but I used to see quite a few Ford flails on dealer lots in the 70's. Nobody wanted them because if one knife had to be replaced, the whole shaft had to be pulled to change one knife on that row. Other brands had individually attached knives so they were easy to change.

i saw a video on that ford flail mower, this is a 917 and each blade can be changed, i did need to add a couple of hangers that are missing, i ordered those yesterday but it did come with new blades

thanks again
