Woods Belly mower

I have a woods belly mower on a Farmall Super A. I bought the unit that way. I've no idea of the number or model of the mower. It's a 5 foot with 3 blades and discharges out the left side. I'ts not new by any means. I would like the model and the belt size if anyone knows for sure. It only has one very long belt.Thank You

If you do a search on google for woods mowers and then e-mail them it is likely they will have an idea of what it is. I did that on this woods 550 I am working on and they sent me the manual for it at no charge. I'll try to do a link for them but not sure if it will work or not

If you're patient enough, you can find the info. on line. The Woods website has manuals. You have to do some digging. Seems like you have to click on something like support, maybe?

if you are lucky you might take the belt off and see if there is a number on it..an woods L59 was a popular mower for these tractors

When I went to there site I did it the easy way and sent an e-mail and the next day I had the owners manual in an e-mail for the mower I am working on

Mine is a L59 and uses a 4152 belt. If yours has the rear p.t.o. pulley shield it should have a tag that tells you which mower it is.
I have went through 3 belts this yr and the woods belt will not run true. It still flips on its back. I think the new belts are just Chinese junk anymore. Good luck.

Are you putting the correct twist on the belt when you install it? I have an L306 on a Farmall H. The belt needs a 3/4 twist on the left side, and a 1/2 twist on the right side. If not done correctly, the belt will not stay on. I know this from experience.

There is a decal on top of the mower deck with the instructions.

yes I have it on correct. Actually there is a 1/4 twist on the right , a 3/4 twist coming back on the left and another 1/2 twist up to the pto pulley. The belt will only work one way and it is impossible to put it on any other way. I don't have a problem keeping the belt on. the problem is keeping the belt from flipping in the pulleys.

Maybe the pullies are worn out?
