Hey all,

I recently purchased a Hesston 6650 with a 21 foot draper head. I'm planning on using the draper head to cut small grains, but it's no going to work for cutting hay. I've seen those 12 foot 1014 Hesston center pivot hydro-swing mowers that look like they have the same heads. Will they bolt up without modification? How about heads from smaller machines like 6450s?

It'll be a few days until I'm at the farm but I could measure our 1014+2 that we've got. It's a twin sickle version, ours is 14' wide.

I know it's all driven by hydraulics so if yours is, that'd be one obstacle cleared. I kinda think that they would fit machines of the same vintage, but never compared hydro swing vs self propelled.

I have a 2230 gehl, same as a 1014, you can have the cutter head, the reel guide needs some work. I bought it mostly
for the pump for a spare for the 499 NH. I cut 40 acres with it 2 years ago. I am just east of you, north of Bagley.

Don,

I went out and measured the lift arms on the 6650. They measure 71.5 inches on center. It is hydraulically driven by a motor on top to the left of center. The connector is a double chain wrapped around two sprockets

Brown Swiss - Wow, that is a generous offer. I would definitely give you at least scrap price for it. Email me at rocky ridge 53813 at gmail dot com with your phone number and I'll give you a call.

Thanks.

I measured the mounts on the head and they are roughly 109" on center. You can call me at 60eight 41two 356zero.
