I hAve a old Kewanee 500 series elevator and it needs some new
slats/paddles new ones at the dealer ar 45 dollars a piece! Do you
think a guy could make them? They have some bends on them to make them
stronger I think thier 1/8 thick I was wondering if you could make
them out of 3/8 flat without the bends! Or maybe they would just bend
with out the bends in them!

Any good machine shop could make them, bends and corner cutouts, etc.
the bends have a function.....they help to carry the grain, rather than push it, and with bales, they provide some stability to the paddles. Just buy the new links and rivet them on, for a complete, new unit.

What size are the paddles? What size chain? I have a complete chain from a JD
Somewhere. I am in south central iowa.

I have 10 NOS bale elevator flights remaining from dad's machinery business. He sold New Idea and Kewanee elevators. These flights have no attached chain links. Rivet holes have 14-5/16" center spacing and 15-3/8" overall length. If this seems to meet your needs, shoot me an email so we can discuss it further.
