hi ,
First post here! I have a john deere grain drill that the right side gears stripped. i pulled the left side to try to find replacements , but so far the place i've looked are asking so much to make them that i don't think i'll be able to afford to fix it . i'm not sure what model it is , i think it's a 1940 something model. any inf o on the drill , parts, or where to look would be appreciated .. i'll try to attach pics ...

thanks in advance !

I had the same thing as you, I welded them and ground them down and worked good until I found another drill for parts. That one you have is a EE, and the F models have the same gears. Now I always turn the shaft with a wrench before I use it. Good luck Gordy

I agree it looks like a model EE. The parts list for EE is in a book that's about the same thickness as an old Sears catalog. Do the gears have any casting numbers?

i need to get all the grease off them and see .. the ones in the pics are the good ones .. the other side are all mangled up ...

i just need to get this thing back together before late august so i can plant winter wheat.
