NH 489 haybine.

Does anyone know what the tension should be for the belt that drives the rolls on a 489/492 NH haybine? Just put a new one on today and have no manual to get the tension correct. Thanks, Ben
 
Oops, no it doesn't but the roller drive comes off the same gearbox....thanks for pointing that out.

I usually set mine up so there's 1/2-3/4" or so of "give" in the center of the longest stretch of belt, about the same as a fan belt.
 
My mind is shot with making hay. Deflection is the word I was looking for. 1/2 -3/4" inch deflection when you press on the belt in the center of the longest stretch.
