Does anyone know what the difference between the H models compared to the G models. I see it has only one big tension spring on each side but it has a small hydraulic cyl. up top for tension? Thanks

The Vermeer G uses spring tension to compress the bale much like the older Vermeer C. The Vermeer H uses an hydraulic cylinder to compress the bale. I think the Vermeer G is older than the H I think it came out same time the F . The G was a lighter less expensive baler, I don't think it will make bales as tight as the F or H

In the 504models there is not much difference in the bales. The ones with the hydraulic tension can be adjusted down the G's are set by springs pickup was 5bar in G 6in H. Not a lot of difference.
