Massey Ferguson Disc

Attempting to help out a neighbor with a Massey Ferguson disc.He is looking to replace a few of the bearing and also the bushings.I have looked until I am blue in the face for a data plate or some other form of name or model to no avail.I am told that when he bought it he was told that it was a MF disc.I am informed that it has a 1 1/8 inch square shaft. The bushing are approx 5 1/4 X 5 1/4.The bearing is held in place by 2 of these bushing, one on each side of the 1/2 inch steel plate strut with the bearing placed in between.I have attempted to find these bushing but have not been successful to this point.I also noticed that one of the bearing setups is different ,as it appears to be a one piece bushing that houses the bearing, and bolts on from just one side.I spoke with shoup and they did not has the bushings, but they did give me a bearing number that they thought would be the correct number for the bushing if I could fined it. #DS208_TT12..Has anyone run into this problem, and what can be done to solve it?.

Thanks, Patrick

Is this by chance a # 25 Massey Ferguson disc harrow? If so, I believe the parts you mention are no longer available. I have one of these and one gang has agrisupply parts on it, which apparently can work, and are close. I don't know more than that as I have to take that gang apart, the disc pans are loose and it almost seems like there is a round axle in there. I'd really have to see it to figure a fix, shameful too, these are a really nice 3 pt mounted disc harrow and they do leave a nice seed bed in these soils. There has to be another solution to this problem for these, not sure when I'll be able to take mine apart and at least the other 3 gangs are tight with oem parts.

My 520 uses two different bearings. The shaft size is the same and so is the outside diameter of the race, but the ones in the wings use a wider outside race than the ones in the main frame.
I keep some on hand. I have an LDK number for you. LDK is the brand on the box. The narrow ones are WP208PPB5. The wide ones are W209PPB5.

Rrlund,I used the information that you provide and looked up a photo of a 520 MF disc. That looks like what I am working on.I thank you for the bearings part numbers.Would you by chance have a part number for the bearings flange, or bushing, or whatever it is called?
This disc is not a three point disc as one member thought may be the case, but I do appreciate his input all the same.I it is tough when you are working in the dark without any information to go on, and sometimes the least little tidbit of information can solve a problem.
Now that I know what I have, where can I find these parts?

I don't know what the number is on those flanges. I got the bearings at the auto parts store, but the generic farm supply store that I deal with can match them up too as long as I take both pieces with me.
I don't know,do those numbers work if you search them on Amazon or anything? Have you tried a NAPA store or some such thing?

RRlund,
I have not tried to locate those bearing at a local parts house,as I was not sure what I should be looking for. When a few of you guys responded with a few Model numbers I started looking on line at a few photos.Your reply of a possible match of a 520 disc was correct.I have ordered a parts manuel for the disc and that should help me out.I did a search for those numbers that you gave me and they crossed with quite a few bearing. The bushing we have are square, but I see no reason why we can't use a round bushing as long as the bolt pattern is correct.Would you be aware of how they measue the pattern/Do they go side to side,or do they measure on the diagnal. Also, are the bearing you mentioned a curved race bearing?

The bearings are a curved race yes. I don't have any of those flanges off that I could measure, but I don't see why a round one wouldn't work. I fact I looked through my stuff for a pair but couldn't find any in my junk when I needed one of the wide race bearings and all I had was two narrow ones. The auto parts store in town had three of the wide ones on hand,so problem solved.
